This drop-dead-gorgeous necklace is made of various sizes & shapes of green emeralds and faceted citrine beads. It has lots of gold vermeil beads. It is composed of four separate strands, and there are 4.5 inch dangles that hang from one strand. The emeralds are earth-mined from Brazil but carved in India. These are "lower-grade" emeralds that have lots of inclusions. Inclusions show they are real. These emeralds have been enhanced by oiling & filling for fractures and they have been dyed with oil for the very green color. Emeralds that have fewer inclusions (clean) cost $200/ct to $5000/ct. But, these emeralds are real & natural. If you hold them up to light you can see the inclusions. These emeralds might be grade-B but they still would sell for $10.00 per carat -$25.00 per carat in a jewelry store & would cost at least $7,500. This necklaces is extraordinary. It is so beautiful & so impressive to wear. Emerald was the favorite gemstone of Cleopatra, so it is said. It looks like the type of necklace Cleopatra (the actress) wore in movies about her! Feel & look like a movie star in this necklace. It is so beautiful!
