This dainty bracelet and earring set is done in the style of Charles Rennie Mackintosh and was purchased in Scotland from where he was from and worked his entire career. He is not known to design jewelry but his architectural designs which he made in the during the height of his career from last 1800's to 1928 when he died, have become popularized in his home country to celebrate his artistic achievements. This set is probably from the 1970's when retro motif's became fashionable. It is made in sterling silver and the hall mark is present on the lobster closure and the hook of the earring. The scale is a dainty one. The length of the bracelet is 7 inches long and the earrings around 1" long. The design featured on this brooch is the rose flower head with petals and a vine with 5 pear shape genuine Amethysts 5mm x 3mm. The total carat weight is .75 or 3/4 of a carat. If you have a good look at the curated collection I have gathered you will find that I have sought out a quality of sculpture in the majority of the brooches I have chosen. This set is no exception to this bent I have for a piece to speak to me in a sculptural voice. These are very rare pieces and the silver has been expertly made, adding a beautiful pear shaped genuine Amethysts.
