This gorgeous reformed natural amber bracelet will fit any wrists size but it is for the bold fashionista! The color is Dark Honey to Pale Golden Scotch! Lots of dazzling stuff inside each amber link and it dazzles with glow!!! The heat used causes these spangles to be created and this is a telltale sign of the heating, clarifying process.
A note about this kind of amber. Natural amber that has been reformed as this necklace is, has had heat applied at a melting temperature and this is done at different degrees, depending on what the amber jewellery maker is looking for as a final product. This process clarifies the amber and makes it malleable in order to work with it and make it into whatever shape of beads, are desired. The heated and clarified amber is then machine cut by a skilled carver and polished and tumbled to make these amber links. This machine carving process is the same used on bakelite and galalith pieces. This is the only way you get uniformly shaped amber beads. There are different kind of amber depending on where it is harvested, and not all of it is carveable, as a lot of raw amber is usually too brittle to carve into beads and then have a hole drilled. This reforming process is one of the ways the craft of making amber jewelry is conducted!! This is extra information to tell you that this is NOT hand carved amber, but is still a natural amber piece of jewelry. Carved amber necklace is what I fondly refer to as the holy grail of amber as it seems to be the type everyone is looking for!
