This is an incredible gilded bronze wall sconce. This two arm sconce dates to the late 1800's and was produced in France. It has a strong roccoco influence and is very nicely detailed. A seated oriental figure is in the center of the sconce. The arms are flowing, resembling blooming flowers. It has been properly rewired for safety. The sconce measures 16" from the base to the top of the socket. It measures 10" wide. It is in overall good condition with some wear to the finish and patina. The socket covers are contemporary with a crack in one of them that can easily be replaced. It is very hard to find these early French bronze pieces with an oriental influence!
