This is a stunning large banquet lamp produced in France by Baccarat. It stands 24 3/4" overall, with the acid cut cameo glass shade standing 7" tall with a 4" opening. The shade has an incredible amount of work in it. There are twelve pink acid cut back fleur-de-lis, trimmed in gold. There are rims at the top and base of the shade acid cut in pink. The background of the shade has a lot of acid cutting work in it. I can't decide if the pattern looks more like pebbles, or a snakeskin. Hours and hours of time goes into creating such a masterpiece. The font is pink opalescent glass with ribbing. The base of the lamp is brass, with an ornate design with ribbing and flowers. The base telescopes, extending the lamp another 6-7" taller than the 24 3/4" height! The burner appears to be a replacement, being marked Eagle made in the USA (obviously later than the age of the lamp itself). There are several small nicks around the edge of the shade. Otherwise, this lamp is in good condition with no other noted damages or repairs. This is certainly a rare example to find, an excellent additin to any lamp collection!
