Here is a beautiful covered art glass ginger jar produced by Durand in the early 1900's. This piece is a golden iridescent, with a pulled feather design tipped in a bluish green. Fine threading was then applied to both the lid and the base. This shape was designed as both lamps and covered jars, with the jars being much harder to find. Color, form, and iridescence on this piece are wonderful. This jar stands 9 1/4" tall, and measures 7 1/2" across. There is one slight color variation, with the feather in the lid being more greenish than the bluish green feather in the base (see pictures). There is minimal thread loss. There are no other noted damages or repairs. A great addition to any art glass collection!
