Here is a wonderful oil painting by noted artist Paul Strisik (1918-1998). Paul Strisik was born in 1918 in New York and spend much of his life in Rockport, Massachusetts where he had his studio. He was a plein air landscape artist and nationally acclaimed painter. He authored two books on oil painting techniques. This painting features the Temple of Apollo in Rhodes, Greece in 1969. This piece was incredible brushstrokes! The overall measurement is 15 1/2" by 19 1/2", with a site measurement of 8" by 12". It is signed in the lower right corner. The linen liner has several spots on it. The painting itself is in good condition with no noted damages or repairs.
