Here is a great pair of hand painted chargers or wall plaques produced in France i the late 1800's - early 1900's. They features fish in the water, with some vegetation around them. Raised painted details on both pieces. I especially like the unusual form of the plaques. They both are piercings and wire so they can be easily displayed on the wall. They measure 12 7/8" by 12 7/8". There is an illegible incised mark on the back of one of the pieces. Other than wear to the gold trim, they are in good condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs.
