Sensational 9.50ctw Moonstone Amethyst Flower Brooch ~ A 1930's Art Deco beauty signed WAB Wordley Allsopp & Bliss. The brooch holds quality moonstones and amethyst gemstones in a fantastic single flower setting. The moonstones are dreamy translucent white with a ghostly bright white and blue glow. The moonstones are just slightly included natural stones. The amethysts have even saturation of medium to dark purple, pretty sparkle and no visible inclusions.
The 6 moonstones are perfectly polished cabochons measuring 10.0mm x 7.0mm x 2.75mm, 1.28 carats each, 7.68ctw. The oval amethyst measures 1 9.0mm x 6.0mm x 4.15mm, 1.20ctw and the round amethyst in the center measures 6.0mm x 6.0mm x 3.35mm, .62ctw. The brooch holds an amazing 9.50ctw.
The setting is 14k yellow gold, it is tested and stamped W.A.B. 14k numbered 17403. The brooch measures 3" long x 1 5/8" wide and it weighs 15.30g. The flower head alone measures 1" in diameter and it's gorgeous!
The brooch is in excellent original condition. There is no damage, no scratching, no chips, no cracks or breaks in any of the gemstones and no repairs have been made. The back has a pin assembly with a rotating closure and it works perfect. You will love this exceptional and rare piece!
