Two Immobile Rubber Baby Googly Dolls Made in Japan c. 1940s/50s Original PackageTwo Immobile Rubber Baby Googly Dolls Made in Japan c. 1940s/50s Original Package

These 2 rubber immobile baby dolls with side-glancing eyes are remarkably found still in their original package! And, since they are rubber, it is remarkable that they have survived at all. This is another example of mid-20th century dolls that you rarely, if ever, see in the original packaging. One of the dolls is holding a hand up toward its mouth, the other doll is clasping its hands. Painted and molded hair, painted eyes and mouths. Package claims "Rubber Baby Doll, Sanitary Squeaker. I don't think the squeaker still works; the dolls are hard from age so cannot be squeezed.

Please see my other items for many more mid-20th century dolls of all kinds in original packaging.

Condition: Excellent, some compression of doll in upper back where squeaker was inserted, rubber is hard with age.

Mark: Japan on upper back of package.

Item ID: Rubber1
