FINAL MARK DOWN, I am no longer selling silver-plate, so this is now at clearance. Really beautiful Simpson Hall Miller silver plated Brides Basket from the late 1800s. The basket is quadruple plated and has an ornate floral handle, pierced ornate floral designs on each of the four feet, and a deeply embossed floral rim to the bowl. The basket measures a large 10" diameter, with the height to top of handle finial being approx. 12 1/2". These beautiful baskets were normally a gift to the bride, and were filled with wedding cake, but today make a perfect centerpiece to a table, or can be used as servers for bread or candy, and with flowers they decorate beautifully as a seasonal accent. This lovely antique basket is in excellent condition with light patina and some surface plate wear, typical for an item of this age. Signed to the bottom with the company name, and 1712, which would have been the pattern number.
