A really fun pair of whale themed salt & pepper shakers, these are of a vintage brown ceramic that is hand painted and gilt, and were made in Japan in around the 70's, The pair are in good order, there is slight wear to the gilding and paint, and some manufacture flaws from in the making, see third photo for an example, this is not distracting, just part of their individual persona. The shakers measure approx 3 1/4" high by 3" long by 1 1/2" deep, they would be lovely to use in a Marine inspired decor, or add to a collection of shakers.
