Four sections of early cotton net lace, these are as follows:
2 sections that are 18" long by just under 3" deep, these have self colored machine over stitching to the bottom scalloped border.
1 section that is still stitched as a loop, when opened out this will have a total length of 12" by 3" deep, it has self colored over stitching to the bottom scalloped border.
I section of machine woven lace, this is 12" long (there is a taper to one end which I have not counted in the length) by 2 1/4" deep.
The laces date to around the beginning of last century (the woven lace may be a little later), and they were probably originally attached to lingerie and would be perfect to embellish doll dresses, slips or bonnets. The sections are in good order for the age and delicacy, there are some brown storage stains (rather magnified by the camera) and a few small splits to the net, see detailed photos, the lace might wash lighter if you wanted, but being fine and old I do not want to risk it, and it looks charming and authentic as is. I will be adding other pieces of antique lace to my store in the next day or two, and would be happy to combine shipping, if you add more pieces these will ship for the same price.
