Beautiful older vintage hand blown decanter with four matching cordials, this dates to around the 1940's, and is probably Bohemian in origin.
The decanter and cordials are in the very deepest shade of ruby (it was hard to capture the richness of the color on camera, they are far livelier in person). The overlay is a nice thick section that has been hand cut through to the clear glass in an oval coin dot design, the effect is beautiful and prismatic.
The decanter measures 9 1/2" tall to the top of the stopper, it has a pouring lip and clear glass handle, the small matching cordials are 2 1/2" tall.
The cordial set is in good order for the age, there is very slight clouding to the interior of the decanter, and a slight irregularity to the top of one of the glasses, this is polished smooth and was probably a slight cutting flaw from in the making. There are also one or two very tiny and hardly visible fleabites on the base edges of the glasses, and a few bubbles in the glass from the hand blown process, overall the issues are exceptionally minor and the set looks wonderfully elegant.
This would be a beautiful cordial set to leave out on a tray, the cutting is beautiful and the color rich and lovely.
