These knife and pliers sets were used during WWII and Korean wars. Both the Army signal corp lineman and electrical engineers were issued with this set. A U.S. Army issued leather belt sheath with 2 tools a TL-29 or folding knife with slotted screwdriver (locking) made by Camillus and a 6" combination bullnose pliers with wire cutter made by Utica Tools TL-19A, each properly stamped. Overall condition is very good to near mint!
Leather Sheath - The brown leather sheath works perfectly. No damage or repairs exist. Copper rivets are used in its construction. Two brass snaps still work, some age and use expected wear.
Folding Knife: Knife blade doesn't appear to have been sharpened, small nick on edge of blade. Stamped "CAMILLUS NEW YORK USA " on blades base. Very shiny steel, no rust or corrosion. Slotted screwdriver locks in place by brass locking system. Screwdrivers surface is bright and shiny with no corrosion or rust. Smooth gloss black handles are damage and crack free, with bright and shiny nickel bolsters, scratch free.
Steel Bull Nose Pliers / Cutter / Wire Stripper: Handles of Army issued pliers remain 100% covered with their black rust protective bluing. No dings or nicks. Stamped on center area is "UTICA TOOLS 1950-6 UTICA, N.Y. USA". The jaw grips have undistorted machine cut pattern grips. The wire cutter area have sharp beveled cutting edges, light oxidation.
