Really detailed older Victorian needlepoint picture, this is a larger size measuring 18" tall by 15 1/2" wide including the original 2 3/8" ebonized hardwood frame with gilt slip liner. The needlepoint dates to the first half of the 1800's, it depicts two young boys out for a day by the river, behind them is a tree, before them the water, they are brightly dressed and the scene is cheerful and pleasing. The needlepoint is in good order for the age, there are some minor stitch losses but these tone to the canvas and are hardly visible, the glass is a replacement, and I replaced the backing papers and hanger which were badly perished, otherwise it is all original. Shipping is a little high on this as the fame is deep and heavy, if it comes in lower I will be happy to refund any over charges.
