1950's Pan American World Airways Clipper Super 7 Airplane by Marx Toys
Vintage Pan American World Airways Clipper Super 7 (DC-6B) airplane made by Marx Toys. On the blue wings are the PAA and N233PA decals. It is made of heavy gauge pressed steel with open cut windows, plastic propellers and hard rubber wheels. The tab on the bottom slides so the wing can be removed. I will be shipping it disassembled, it easily slides back into place. It measures aproximately 13" nose to tail with a 17 1/2" wingspan and is in very good original condition with light play wear. The blue and white paint have good gloss with some chip and scuff wear. All of the propellers have their props, three are broken, the three wheels are intact. There is no decal loss, there is a spot on the top of the plane with light oxidation due to paint loss. The Term Clipper was used by Pan Am from 1931, PanAm had 40 DC-6Bs in service from 1952 until 1961 when they leased all 40 to Austral of Argentina.
