Really lovely late Victorian English mahogany pen and ink stand, with cube cut crystal bottle, gilt bronze lid, and heavy brass banding to the wooden frame. The inkstand measures approx 7" square, with brass banding round the base, brass inlay in the top, brass square rivets in the corners, and a brass galleried holder for the ink bottle. The bottle is square cut lead crystal, with beveled edges, and a fitted gilt bronze lit (the gilding is mainly worn off except on the inside of the lid). The stand has pen racks on every side, and is very elegant and functional. The mahogany is a dark rich brown, and is in excellent condition with no damage. Exceptional inkstand in lovely order, looks fantastic when displayed.
