Absolutely exquisite baby doll jacket, this may have been originally made for a small child, but would be perfect for a large baby doll or bisque child doll. The jacket is being modeled by my 21" chunky S&H who looks sweet in it, though it is a little large, and on 28" Kestner, who it fits perfectly. The jacket dates to around the 1940's, it carries the Yolanande hand made label, and as far as I could tell was entirely hand stitched right down to the long seams as well as the embroidery, I think the only machine stitching was the ties. The fabric is a very soft silky material, probably a very fine rayon. The jacket is a soft pinky peach color with ecru lace, it has a peter pan collar and mid length puff sleeves, it is very gathered and full, and has heavy self colored embroidery and lots of lovely bobbin lace trim. The jacket measures 11" long, 7 1/2" across the shoulders, and 4 1/2" sleeves, it is in good estate order with very light staining (when worn virtually invisible) and no rips, holes or other damage. Lovely jacket for a precious baby, in person it is even more lush than the photos suggest.
