Lovely set of 7 Redon (I have priced for six but will include one extra) French Limoges white porcelain dinner plates with pink and green small dog rose floral decoration. The plates measure 9 1/2" across, and are in very good condition for the age, with very little wear to the soft sheen glaze, and no chips, cracks or other damage. The plates have a beautiful simple elegant design that would look wonderful with virtually any service. The plates aare marked to the back with P L Limoges France, for La Porcelaine Limousine which was formed in 1906, and produced fine porcelain until the factory closed in 1938. There is also a second backstamp, the circular red M Redon mark, which stands for Martial Redon, used by the founder of Redon between 1882 & 1896 then by his successors in the early 1900's (his son was one of the partners in La Porcelaine Limousine). These stamps date the plates to the early part of last century.
