A pristine set of eight large vintage hand blown studio glass "swirl" tumblers in colors that are ideal for Christmas.
The design is both elegant and stylish with fine swirls of red, green and white running through the clear glass. Each tumbler exhibits unique characteristics such as bubbles, slight changes in thickness and waves in the glass all of which combine to make the tumblers individual and interesting. On the bottom of each glass you can see the pontil where the molten glass was cut off from the blowing rod.
The tumblers are not signed, but are definitely of artisan make, most likely from the South Western USA or possibly Mexico. Looking at other table ware from the same estate I estimate the date at around the 1980's, the condition is excellent, the set looks seldom if ever used. The tumblers are a useful larger size, with each tumbler measuring approximately 6" tall by 3" diameter.
This is a really beautiful set, the photos do not convey just how stylish they are in person, see images for the all the details.
