A wonderful very early, circa 1935, 980 finally detailed silver pin from Taxco, Mexico. 980 silver is purer than sterling silver and was used by all the early masters in Mexico such as Spratling and Aguilar. This classic pin is in thick silver, forming an Aztec glyph design, deeply incised and is a good size. The Mexicans craftmanship with Sterling Silver is awesome making Taxco jewelry so fun to collect. Closing on the back with a c-clasp, the piece is clearly marked. Weighs 12.3grams total weight. Outstanding! Has great Patina that really stand out. Hallmark: Taxco 980 Size: 2 1/4" wide x 1 1/2" high Condition: Excellent . Will make a great addition to any fine jewelry collection or costume jewelry collection.
