A very fine antique Edwardian negligée lavaliere pendant necklace in 9ct gold set with natural amethyst. The necklace dates to circa 1910 and is both delicate and stunning. The pendant has two vivid purple amethysts beautifully faceted one small round bezel set stone at the necklace centre and the second a larger oblong amethyst suspended below. Both stones have beautiful deep vivid colour and clarity. The fine chain is in yellow gold. There is an early 9CT stamp to the back.

Dimensions are : the pendant is 1 5/16 inch (35mm) long ; the large stone is 9mm x 6mm, the round setting is 5mm across ; the length of the necklace is 16 1/4 inches; weight is 2.6 grams. Condition is excellent with the amethysts perfect and the gold has an antique rosey bloom.
