A superb antique silver bracelet from the early 20th Century This bracelet has beautiful repoussé work in silver with wonderful rose bud and poppy flowers entwined with leaves ~ lovely detailed work. The clasp is the tongue and groove box clasp typical to these bracelets and it carries a makers mark and a 835 stamp indicating the silver quality, which was the accepted standard in parts of Europe including Germany early in the century. There is also a French 'weevil' mark in a rectangular lozenge which indicates an imported object 800/1000. This was use in France from 1 July 1864 to the present.
The shape of the bracelet is oval fitting the wrist beautifully and it has a lovely solid weight. There is an original silver safety chain. Condition is superb with an antique patina. There is tiny scratches to the silver inside commensurate with an antique piece, but this has been worn with care.
Dimensions are : the oval internal diameter is 2 3/16 inches x 2 1/2 inches; width is just under 3/4 inch; weight is a very substantial 36.2 grams.
A lovely repoussé bracelet from the Art Nouveau era. Wonderful to wear and collect.
