Thank You 'M'_ GLADDIE Smiling Happy Face circa 1929 18" tall_very good condition
Very Happy GLADDIE Doll circa 1929 18" tall very good condition!
Have you ever seen such a HAPPY LOOKING DOLL? It is my pleasure to offer this Gladdie to you as these dolls don't come around that often in such good condition. He just makes you smile to look at him, gotta love that!
His adorable smiling face and his rosy cheeks and pronounced nose with open nostrils make him so realistic looking. Love that he has teeth and a tongue and glass sleep eyes, he has it all. His hair is blond and wavy molded with bangs and molded ears peaking on sides. Nice composition, must have been the best compo at that time, jointed legs and arms with solidly stuffed body with a non working crier in center back. There is NO FLAKING or lifting of the composition. No odor, No repaint and No repairs!
He is marked on back of head:
Helen W. Jensen
He can hold a pose well with his arms as they move up and down nicely. He comes dressed in an older brown vintage suit with bloomers, sort of like nickers, a matching jacket and a shirt front with pin tucks, a collar and blue ribbon tied in bow at center front neck. He wears old brown knit long stocking with replaced black leather shoes that tie.
NOTE: His face shows reflection from the light. There are NO WHITE MARKS on his face, it's only the light reflection. Thank you for your inquiry!

I love the painting by Jean-Etierrne Liptard, 1702-1789 of his daughter entitled "Girl With Doll". She is my R.L. Logo.
