Pair of gilt bronze fireplace andirons, circa 1890. French in style, with an Art Nouveau design influence. The bases are designed to appear hand-hammered, with black and gilt finish. The intricate tops have traces of a black finish, now mostly worn off. 28 inches tall, 13.5 inches wide, and about 9 inches deep.
CONDITION: Very good. Moderate wear to finish throughout, the tops are mostly bare metal. The third, weighted, legs may be a partial replacement, the connecting hardware certainly is (new bolts). No other repairs, restoration or notable flaws beyond what is already noted.
