This gorgeous vase was produced by American glass artist Doug Merritt. The shape of this vase is classic. The décor consists of an iridescent waving pulled pattern combining three colours: a yellow gold, a caramel or bronze colour and pink. The iridescence also shows highlights of blue. This is just a great piece of studio glass.

Signature: "Merritt" script on the base.
Condition: Very good. No chips, cracks, or repairs; one minor scratch on the surface.

Merritt has served on the Board of Directors of the Creative Glass Center of America and lectured students about his craft throughout the country. Merritt's glassworks are featured in many prominent museums and private collections around the world including the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Toledo Museum, the Wheaton Museum of American Glass, and the Smithsonian Institute.
