Antique Victorian Gunmetal Long Guard Clear Paste Stone Chain Necklace 60"

A wonderful antique Victorian, gunmetal muff chain or long guard, with stationed white paste stones.

The dark slate gray, gunmetal chain is a very long..... 60", with 23 tiny clear paste stones. The sparkling, bezel set, open back, diamond cut, white paste stones have pointed back sides to give optimal light reflection. The stones are very small, measuring only 3mm in diameter, and they are stationed about 2 1/2" apart. They contrast beautifully with the dark chain.... a very elegant look . The chain terminates with a dog clip type clasp that functions well.

This lovely chain could be worn various ways....draped in layers over the neck/chest, doubled & looped with a pendant or watch attached to the dog clip, or whatever your imagination comes up with.

On close inspection, I found that one stone is missing. Also, one of the 23 stones has it's point missing. Reflected in price. Otherwise, great antique condition.
