The original item from Chessie & Nestor Go Antiquing is now SOLD.
For your consideration is a 1950s Mirro bun warmer or range top reheater made of aluminum with a steaming plate inside and a lid with air vents. The Mirro steamer or reheater is usually used to reheat food or buns on the stove with a bit of water in the base. It can also be used in a low temperature oven. These were popular before microwaves and heat bread rolls, potatoes and bakery goods. This Mirro warmer is in very good vintage condition. The handles are intact, as is the knob on top and the vents on the lid can be opened or closed. I see some minor scratches and one slight dent.
The bun warmer weighs 1 pound and 2 ounces. It has a diameter of 9 1/2 inches and is 9 inches high. I must used a wider box because of the handles. The handles are made to with stand the heat. Insurance is optional.
