Landseer 1907 Undivided Postcard of Dogs Alexander and DiogenesLandseer 1907 Undivided Postcard of Dogs Alexander and Diogenes

This is a vintage postcard of a group of dogs, titled Alexander and Diogenes. It is by the British artist Sir Edwin Landseer (1802-1873). He was well known for his art work depicting animals, especially dogs and horses.

The back is undivided. It was mailed with a one cent stamp in 1907. The postcard was printed in Great Britain and was published by the Valentine Company.

Condition: Edge wear visible in scans, as well as typical handling wear.

It would look cute in a small frame. If you have a chance, please check out our other postcards featuring dogs and puppies.
