Beautifully illustrated collector's book of Judith Leiber handbags, published by Harry N. Abrams, Inc, New York, and printed in Japan, 1995 and a first edition with signed inside front page, Best Wishes, Judith Leiber. The book is 160 pages, text by Enid Nemy, and photography by John Bigelow Taylor. The many photographs of the Leiber handbags speak to this form of wearable art. Leiber was a Hungarian immigrant who came to the U.S. in 1963. Her career in this field spans several decades, and she was the first woman accepted into the handbag Guild in Hungary. Her designs are collected and admired by celebrities and socialites worldwide, and have elevated regard for U.S. fashion. Each bag is impeccably made, manifesting exquisite detail as shown in the 192 full color photos in the book.
Book is in very good condition, with minimal use and wear. Corners are still crisp and unbent. Size is 9" x 10.5".
