The original item from Choses Necessaires Antiques is now SOLD.
All original dollhouse dresser and night stand with delicate ormolu ornamentation in a classic Art Nouveau design- the detail is amazing! There are no markings, but there are a few examples of similar pieces on the web identified as Eppendorfer and Nacke. The wood is mahogany, finely grained with a high gloss finish. The original red fabric backing is still in place after all these years! Based on the information available, the piece was probably made around 1900-1915. The silvering on the mirror has some loss. Full disclosure: One of the front feet on the dresser has been replaced, but I can't remember which one, so it must be a good match!

*Interesting note: While researching this maker, I found that it's possible that a merchant named Hans Nacke from Eppendorf, Saxony who would have made the metal ornamentation only and another unnamed maker created the furniture. Since he was from Eppendorf, he would have been called an Eppendorfer.
