A beautiful solid 18ct gold vintage ring, an original late Edwardian era piece dating to 1917. A gorgeous open work pierced gallery with 5 graduating genuine diamonds. Typically known as a 'boat' ring due to the shape. The diamonds are clear and sparkly, the 3 middle ones are an old round cut, the two very end ones are small rose cuts. The diamonds have been tested and verified as genuine with a Presidium Gemstone Tester, the center diamond measures 2 mms in diameter. The face of the ring measures 1.5 cms x 7 mms in size.
Size M 1/2 (a medium finger size). US size 6 1/4. Fully hallmarked as 18ct Gold, Chester, 1917. Also inscribed inside the band are some initials; 'F.Mc.N to H.J'. The ring weighs 1.8 grams
In good antique condition with minimal signs of wear., faint surface scratching and tarnish. One of the tiny end diamonds is slightly more dull than the others. Please see the photos. Will be posted in a box ready to give as a gift (not the box pictured but an equally nice new ring box)
