The original item from 14 E King is now SOLD.
This lovely mid-1800's wool and linen sampler was the work of Hannah Sutcliffe. The well-executed needlework is in a period pine frame that measures 20.5" x 20.5". It appears to have been professionally conserved within the last few decades and is in excellent condition. The scene depicts Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden, which includes birds, flowers and the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil . A very fine representation of a young ladies' handy work of the 19th Century.
