This stunning locket is from the early Victorian period, circa 1840, and is made from solid 18kt gold. The gold has such a wonderful buttery-ness to it and is beautifully rich in its appearance. The repoussé detailing to the front and back is beyond measure and this piece is a locket of true quality. It is hinged to one end and there is a spring release just below the intricate bale. It is in absolutely immaculate condition and is a true collectors item.
Materials - 18kt Gold (tested)
Age - C1840
Size - Locket measures 35mm by 24mm with the bale adding an extra 8mm to the length. There is an added jump ring that would make the locket hang correctly on a chain, This could be removed if required.
Condition - Excellent
