Antique Sterling Silver Enamel Vinaigrette Featuring 18th Century Lady & Lamb.
This is a beautiful antique enameled sterling silver (tested & guaranteed) vinaigrette. The obverse of the lid features a very detailed scene of a lady offering a small bouquet of flowers to a lamb; the lid's reverse features a cherub's face. The sides of the case are in jewel-red enamel with gold trim. The case opens to reveal a small interior well with pierced hinged lid. The case has a bale so that it can be worn from a necklace chain or chatelaine.
Condition: Good antique condition. The hinged lids are in perfect working order. The exterior of the case has three small blemishes to the red enamel (there is no enamel loss, but these blemishes are darker red and have small cracks radiating from their centers ). Any white spots on the enameling are from light reflections and are not imperfections. There is a small bit of enamel loss to the enameling on the interior of the lid near the bottom.
