These beautiful earrings are a true Georgian set of danglers. Their unique crescent shape always appeal to the most sophisticated wearers. They were crafted in the early part of the nineteenth century in 18K solid gold and are highly decorated with a filigree and lacy Byzantine design. The two half-moon discs are covered with six emeralds and a white spinel per earring. They hang from a base covered with two more emerald each and from which is suspended a larger emerald. They are solidly set with four prongs each and moves freely within the empty space, giving them an ephemeral position which changes with every move. They seem to have been made to flatter your lovely face. Onlookers will be transfixed by this pair of danglers, and the way they spread golden lights from your earlobe onto your cheeks!
These lovely earrings are not only extremely attractive, but they are also very comfortable to wear. A solid gold wire hook, on which you can see the French assay mark, slips into your earlobe. It's that easy... They are a perfect addition to any outfit, dressed up or down! They can be worn with anything from jeans to a black dress. They are in very good vintage condition with normal wear.
