Three 1930's Hubley Cast Iron Toy Vehicles
Three asst 1930'S cast iron toy vehicles including race car, pumper fire truck and streamlined bus, all from the Hubley Company. Lancaster, Pa.
STREAMLINED BUS..... 5 3/4" long streamlined bus retaining 90% of its original red and silver paint. Its original rubber tires are hard, have cracking and the two rear tires have a flat side but all the tires remain secure on their original wooden hubs. It has no cracks, breaks, repairs or repainting and is marked "Made in U.S.A". on the underside. This toy is in exceptionally nice condition.
PUMPER FIRE TRUCK.... 4 3/4" long fire truck with considerable paint wear but enough original paint to give it a nice aged red patina. It has a hairline crack on the the large nickel platted boiler but the crack does not extend over the top and the one piece nickel platted boiler piece remains totally solid. The truck has replacement rubber tires and is marked "Hubley" on the underside. Other than the hairline crack there are no broken or missing pieces, repairs, or repainting on this toy and it looks great on display.
RACE CAR......4 1/4" long race car in excellent condition retaining 90% of its original red and silver paint. Its original rubber tires are hard and show cracking and the right front tire is a little squished on one side but all the tires remain secure on their hubs. There are no cracks, breaks, repairs or repainting on this car and it is embossed "HUBLEY" on the underside. We have seen many Hubley racers but never this particular one. It is a very sharp little car.
The price listed is for all three toys. Please see photos for vintage condition.
