Very Small McNess Champion Breakfast Cocoa Tin
McNess Champion Breakfast Cocoa 1 oz empty tin from Furst-McNess Company, Freeport, Illinois. Furst-McNess was established in 1908 and in the early days primarily sold food and pharmaceutical products. The company survived all these years and today they still thrive in the food, beverage and emerging biofuels feed markets. This is a very small tin that contained only 1 oz of Cocoa and although it is not marked "sample" on the tin there is a good likelihood it was a free sample. This little tin is in very good condition showing only light scattered vintage litho scratches and wear. On the back and sides of the tin there are three recipes: cocoa fudge, breakfast cocoa and economy devil's food cake. This delightful little tin has nice graphics, good presentation and is very collectible. Circa early 1900's, dimensions 2 1/4" tall x 1 1/4" wide x 1 1/8" deep
Please keep in mind that on very small tins like this one photos often exaggerate wear and imperfections. The litho on this tin is in very nice condition.
