Please consider this Vintage Olive or Relish Serving Dish direct from the porcelain factory of Reinhold Schlegelmilch RS Germany Tillowitz, Germany c.1917-1945. The bottom of the plate bears the blue wreath and star with R.S. Germany mark and E.S./34 on the bottom. Arnold Schlegelmilch, Reinhold's son, started a factory in Tillowitz, then Germany/now Tułowice, Poland. In 1910, the Tillowitz factory began using the "RS Germany" mark stamped in green, whereas the other brother, Ehrhard Schlegelmilch, used "RS Prussia" in a similar red stamp. The Tillowitz factory kept producing porcelain through the Second World War. Striking hand-painted dish/bowl with beautifully soft tones and colors. The design on this plates depicts olives on a vine. The pierced two handles are painted gold on the top as is the trim of the plate. This plate measures 9 ¼” long x 6” wide by 1 ¼” high. Mint condition.
