Another of an estate collection that we have been asked to sell for charity is this 6" Japanese made doll. She is very typical of the Japanese dolls of the 1950's except that she has been dressed as a Spanish Dancer complete with a black lace mantilla upon her head and a satin red dress with green ribbon trim. She has been given thick black eyebrows and blue eye shadow to add to the dancer look. On her feet she has painted brown Maryjanes and white socks with a blue trim. Perhaps she is just what you are looking for. The sale will benefit both the Kentucky Doll and Toy Museum and a women's shelter in Berea, Kentucky.
