Crafted in the mid 1900's, this is a delicate sterling silver compote from Hamilton Silver, a little known and short lived silver manufacturer. This compote is 5 1/4" tall, has tiny beading around the rolled bowl edge with pierced or reticulated leaf design. Bowl is just over 5" across, graduates down to a shoulder change and pretty stem. Weighted foot is 2 1/2" and is engraved with a formal W. Weighs 5.1 ounce or 4.65 troy ounces. Bottom simply says Hamilton; weighted and Sterling. Condition is good to very good vintage. There are small dents around foot edge, two folds in the bowl, one pimple in the bowl, and some minor denting in the weighted foot.
