We offer this repaired, cranberry overlay decanter with crystal handle and stopper in the Polka Dot pattern produced from 1960 to 1965 by Fenton Art Glass. Also known as baby coin spot for the pattern in the glass. It has the crystal stopper and crimped crystal handle. A lovely piece, it stands 12 1/4" tall with stopper, and base is 3 3/4" diameter. It is unmarked, condition is excellent over the body of the glass and pretty ruffled spout. I believe it could be a second because, under magnified inspection, I see a few very small bubbles in the area of the heavy glass base. Also, there is very minor roughness along the striations of the neck and it appears to have been repaired at the top of the handle where it meets the neck, actually under the ruffle. I took pictures from both sides. I cannot imagine how the break could have happened without damage elsewhere on the handle. The repair is very well done, glued but without a mess; which makes me wonder if it was done at the factory. There is a chip of the clear glass missing. All that being said, it is almost unnoticeable unless one knows it is there, tucked under the ruffle, but can be felt with your hand. Stopper is excellent, no chips or even flea bites. Over all it is an excellent example of cranberry overlay at the height of the mid century mad men era. I can provide more pictures if needed, it is a gorgeous piece that would display beautifully. Please see all pictures. Priced accordingly with respect to the repair. Weighs 2 lb. 7 oz.
