Helen Motney created ceramic table wares in Los Angeles California during the 1940's to the early 1950's. She is best known for her rooster design salt & peppers and creamer sugars. Here we have a decorative tile, 6" square, with an ivy growing from corner to corner. A simple zig zag trim in teal green frames the edges. Condition is very good vintage with minimal scratches on the glossy surface; there are small chips some of the edges. A nice mid century piece works well as a trivet or a wall piece.
