In a substantial, hand made design of sterling silver is a large, stunning spiderweb turquoise cabochon. The turquoise is a beautiful specimen, a mix of thin black matrix and blue turquoise that has a cobblestone appearance; mesmerizing. The ring design is saddle shaped, one of a kind, and perfect for the natural stone. The cabochon, polished lightly to a flat surface, measures 23mm by 18mm; is protected by the thick silver bezel. The saddle shape fits the finger and displays the stone with a thin frame. The silver at the finger has cut through slits giving appeal and providing ventilation. Marks are: 925 and a makers mark; 2 initials difficult to read; in the picture looks like MS, which I couldn't identify. Ring size: 7 1/2 so could fit a man or woman; shank is 5mm wide. The talent of the silversmith is very evident; and indicates great thought of the design for a lovely, natural stone. I am not an authority on turquoise so cannot name the mine this stone came from.
