We are pleased to offer for sale this near mint in the original box, Nancy Ann Storybook doll that dates back to the 1940's. This is the Colonial Dame #56 which was part of the American Girl Series. She is all bisque and jointed at the arms. She measures 5 1/2" tall and has terrific facial paint with big black eyes, long painted black lashes and dark red lips. Her blond wig is in the original set and she no cracks to her bisque. The only flaw we can see is a small paint chip on the tip of her right foot, very minor and some black magic marker would take care of it but we will leave that up to her new owner. Her costume is in very good condition an her cotton voile cap is intact on the top of her head. Her box is good but shows some wear, the cool thing is this must have been originally given as a Christmas gift as there are two vintage Christmas seals on the lid of the box. The original silver sticker indicating stock number and name is present. The piece comes from a SMOKE FREE home.
