We are very pleased to offer for sale this vintage 1930's cloth Madame Alexander Alice In Wonderland doll that we just acquired from an estate. The doll is charming and she wears her original blue and white check dress with white cotton voile collar and matching apron. The dress has short puff sleeves with white piping and the skirt also has white piping, 2 rows above the hemline. The dress has white button closure on the back. The doll has wear to her, she obviously was loved by her original owner. But her facial paint is good with full red lips, big blue side glancing eyes and painted eyelashes (these show quite a bit of wear). Her yellow yarn hair is full and in the original set with a blue ribbon tie in the back (this ribbon came with her but it may not be original to the doll). Her body is soiled and there is some wear to the edge of some of her fingers. We did not attempt to clean her body, but will leave that up to her new owner if so desired. It also looks like her socks and shoes have been replaced, but they are vintage. The dress has attached blue and white checked panties. She also has her original paper hand tag that reads "Alice In Wonderland trade mark" then "Curiouser and curiouser cried Alice...Now they've made me into a doll!" and at the bottom "A Madame Alexander Creation Reg. U.S. Pat. Off." The dress is also tagged in the back but the lettering has all faded. Even with her flaws, this doll is a real charmer and not easy to find in any condition. She comes to you from a SMOKE FREE home.
