A solid tested sterling silver spoon made by silversmiths at the turn of the century working for the H. H. Tammen Company in Denver, Colorado and sold in curio shops throughout the Southwest. This is a classic example with all the bells and whistles in that it features a standing Indian with spear, a bow and arrow set, cross and diamond designs and two beautiful Navajo sacred "whirling logs" designs that are both stamped and cut out. At 5 1/2" x 1 1/4" in width this is a text book example for any collector and can be seen in photos from the old 1908 catalog (page 122 The Native American Curio Trade In New Mexico by J. Barkin). Weight is 15.2 grams.
