Bold Cini Sterling Pin Pendant with Serpents and Crown
Signed “CINI STERLING” on the back. Guglielmo Cini was an Italian jewelry maker who moved to Boston and later to California where Cini jewelry was sold at Gumps.
This pin and pendant shows a highly intricate design that is true to the rich Italian tradition of well crafted silver smithing. Weighs 26.6 grams. This can be worn as a pin or a pendant. At the top is a crown and then two serpents or some other mythical creatures gracefully on other side of a raised large sterling oval. five balls dangle from the bottom. Lots going on in this interesting and eye catching pin/pendant.
Company History: Guglielmo Cini, a jewelry maker, was born in Florence, Italy. In 1922 he emigrated to the Boston, U.S. at the age of 17. He worked there until moving to Laguna Beach, CA in the mid 1950s. He was considered a master craftsman and his work is highly collectible.
Size: 3.5 inches long by 1 7/8 inches wide Condition: Very Good, no damage, no repairs, lovely warm silver patina. Can be polished as bright as its new owner desires. Pin clasp closes securely.
