A great statement piece with its large center pin and 5 dangles. This design was a staple of signed Cini and Peruzzi silver manufacturers. This looks to be a c. 1960s copy of those design motifs. Unsigned.
This brooch features a Renaissance Revival design with various motifs, including wing angels or cherubs, scrolling patterns, and an heraldic image of a crown. The pin has five dangles of heraldic design ending in a dangling “green man” piece.
The Green Man motif has its roots from ancient times and is a legendary as a symbol of rebirth, representing the cycle of new growth that occurs every spring.
I believe this is 800 silver plate. Condition is very good, clasp is secure.
